  • Recording with another browser or client program

Proxy recording mode is used for a client executable other than Internet Explorer on the local machine or a client executable on a remote machine for example a mobile browser running on a mobile phone (see load testing mobile application tutorial ).  The client program can be configured to connect to a proxy server.

The application only uses the HTTP/S protocol.

Sample with Firefox

Before recording, modify connection settings in tools options.

load test firefox proxy

Enter your local machine name in HTTP proxy and HTTPS proxy fields. Enter the AgileLoad proxy listen port (by default 90 for HTTP and 88 for HTTPS).

You can find your local machine name under My Computer > Properties > My computer name

In Script Editor, Options… menu, click on Record… item. Select Proxy in Record mode drop-down list. In Real proxy section, select No in Use proxy drop-down list.

firefox record proxy

Click on OK and start recording.

Enter your URL in the Firefox address bar.

load test firefox url

In order to have screenshots in the AgileLoad Script Editor storyboard, as Script Editor does not launch browser or client program, you must define the record window to AgileLoad. After start recording and launching your browser or client program, click on pin record window in Script Capture Bar.
